Resident and Business Surveys
The City of Merriam received outstanding results in the 2024 Community Satisfaction Survey. Conducted every three years, this survey is a vital tool for evaluating our City's services through community feedback.
The City partnered with the ETC Institute to conduct community and business satisfaction surveys. The City does these surveys as part of ongoing effort to gauge resident and business owner satisfaction with the quality of services. The results help the City establish budget priorities and refine policy decisions. Feedback also helps ensure Merriam continues to thrive for generations to come.
This spring, hundreds of randomly selected Merriam residents received the survey, with a goal that 400 residents complete the survey. ETC Institute analyzed the data and sent the City a final report. The overall results for the sample of 400 households have a precision of at least +/-5% at the 95% level of confidence.
According to survey findings, an overwhelming majority of residents expressed high levels of satisfaction with many City services. Highlights of survey results include:
- 93% said they were “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with the overall quality of city services
- 92% were satisfied with the overall quality of life in the City
- 80% were satisfied with the overall value received for tax dollars and fees
