The Merriam Community Center is open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2. All other City facilities are closed.

Stay safe – don’t drink and drive! The annual You Drink. You Drive. You Lose. campaign starts Saturday, Aug. 17, and runs through Labor Day.
Merriam police officers are joining other law enforcement agencies across the state. Their goal is to save lives by removing impaired drivers from city streets.
“We hold this event every year to remind drivers of the lasting impact that can happen from drunk driving,” Maj. Chris Brokaw said.
The Kansas Department of Transportation sponsors the two-week campaign.
