Farmers' Market Attendant

This position is responsible to help support the City of Merriam’s mission by providing on-site operation and supervision of the Farmers’ Marketplace; this is a seasonal role (May to September) with work hours from 6:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m. every-other Saturday, with some weekday availability to secure entertainment and prepare for weekly market.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have CPR Certification (we will train);
• Must have a current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record;
• Ability to comprehend and follow specific written and oral instructions;
• Ability to make accurate arithmetical computations;
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing;
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service experience;
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete for extended periods of time in outdoor summer months;
• Working knowledge of computers, window-based MS office products including Excel and Word, and other internet based applications.
