New guidance recently issued by Johnson County health officials about its public health order means we can reopen the Merriam Community Center indoor pool.
The indoor pool will open March 1. This gives time for our lifeguards to get everything ready to reopen the pool.
Adult water classes will begin in March. MCC staff will contact participants who had previously signed up. You can also call staff at 913-322-5550 or visit merriam.org/aquatics to see the class schedule or sign up for a class. The MCC plans to start swimming lessons in April. Get excited! The indoor pool has open swim with two slides, lap lanes, lazy river, fun kids features, and a separate warm water therapy pool.
