Help define the City's future as we update our Comprehensive Plan - creating a vision for Merriam through the year 2040 and beyond. The Comprehensive Plan addresses our City’s land use, housing, commercial and industrial development, sustainability and the environment, transportation and mobility, parks and recreation, and community facilities and services.
This summer, we put together a Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee to provide initial feedback on the plan's direction and priorities, evaluate and consider public engagement, and review various drafts of the plan components.
The Committee wants your input about your future vision, goals, and priorities for the community. Stop by the Merriam Comprehensive Plan 2040 booth at the Merriam Farmers' Market on Sept. 28 from 9-11 a.m. or at Merriam Drive Live on Oct. 5 from 3-5 p.m. and let them know what you think. Both events take place at Merriam Marketplace (5740 Merriam Drive).
Committee members at the booth will provide information about the planning process, project scope, and a proposed schedule. There will be several quick engagement activities for you to provide input on preferences and priorities for Merriam land use, parks, housing, employment, transportation, and mobility. Find more information at merriam2040.org.
