Showcasing more than 275 classic vehicles!
Get revved up for the Turkey Creek Car & Motorcycle Show and join us at Merriam Marketplace this Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Held rain or shine, this car show is one of the most popular displays in the region, featuring all classes of cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
Anna Slocum, Merriam’s Parks and Recreation Department director, said she likes watching car owners and spectators interacting together. Now in its 19th year, Slocum said several participants showcase their vehicles year after year and like sharing their “car stories” with the younger generations.
“It’s truly a family event from participants to spectators,” Slocum said. “The car show provides an opportunity for a tradition to be shared from generation to generation.”
We’ve set a new record this year and have more than 180 vehicles preregistered for your viewing pleasure but expect 275 entries by Saturday. Merriam Parks and Recreation will give away more than 60 awards on Saturday, so join the fun and view beautiful vehicles that line Merriam Drive and Merriam Marketplace. Slocum said you can still register your special vehicle by calling 913-322-5550.
