The City of Merriam is looking for a Ward 1 representative with a passion for parks and our community to serve as a representative on the City’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Board members provide guidance to City staff on existing parks and recreation programs and recommend action on various policies for the City Council to consider.
The Board is comprised of one representative from each of the City’s four wards, three at-large positions, and one youth representative and meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Irene B. French Community Center.
Those interested can submit an online application or fill out a form at City Hall. The seat will remain open until a formal recommendation is made by Mayor Ken Sissom to the City Council for approval.
