Merriam Community Center Indoor Pool to Open March 1

New guidance recently issued by Johnson County health officials means we can reopen the indoor pool! Call the MCC at 913-322-5550 to reserve your spot for lap lanes and water walking. 

Adult water classes will begin in March. Swimming lessons will start in April. Come back soon to see a complete schedule!

Aqua Interval Fitness


Tuesday/Thursday - 5:30-6:30 p.m.
March 9 - 25

This class combines cardio and strength training intervals using noodles and dumbbells at varying intensities. Increase stamina, strength, flexibility, and joint range of motion. Appropriate for all fitness levels; ability to swim not necessary. Water shoes or sneakers are encouraged.

Aqua Zumba

Make a splash with low impact, high energy aquatics class with upbeat music. Less impact on joints and water creates natural resistance.

Deep + Shallow Aerobics


Monday/Wednesday 11:00-12:00 p.m.

Improve balance, strengthen and tone muscles as well as burn calories with high intensity to tone the body. This class will utilize both shallow and deep water as well as the lazy river.

Warm Water Therapy

Wednesday 12:15-1 p.m.

 Improve balance, reduce joint stiffness, increase flexibility, and have better overall mobility. This class is held in the therapy pool.
