Meet Our Fitness Instructors ~

Phyllis Peterson:
Classes: Yo Chi Pilates, Step Interval
Teaching for over 18 years, Phyllis has a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology & Kinesiology from the University of Kansas; Aerobics Certifications; "Fitness for Life" Instructor; Massage & Aroma Therapy Therapist; Master Food Volunteer with Johnson County Extension Services & Kansas State University; Certifications in "Fit Careers"; Member of AFAA IDEA; CPR Certified.
Shao Li:
Classes: Tai Chi
Shao Li is a graduate of the Martial Arts Department of Bejing Athletic Conservatory, with 28 years of experience in the martial arts, and over 15 years teaching Tai Chi. She is a member of the National Wu Shu Deomonstration Team and a bronze medallist in Chinese National Games (Tai Chi Swoard). She instructs both the Yang and Chen styles of Tai Chi.
Joanie Flanagan:
Classes: Yoga
Joanie is a certified personal trainer who has been practicing yoga for nearly 15 years. She teaches a de-mystified, electric blend of yoga styles rooted in the Hatha Yoga tradition. She believes that yoga is for people of all ages and levels of ability and strives to meet each student where they are. WITS & CPR certified.
Cindy Schwartze:
Classes: Yoga

Cindy has practiced Yoga for 9 years.  She has practiced locally with many talented teachers.  She has especially practiced Hatha, Bikram, Gentle, Restorative, and Vinyasa. Cindy is "YogaFit" certified and CPR certified through the American Heart Association.

 

 

Terri Dixon
Classes: Fitness Instructor, Senior Weight Training
Teri Dixon was born and raised in Kansas. She is a mother of 4 and grandmother of 2. Terri has 25 years of physical fitness experience. Her goal as a professional is wellness. She wants people to be able to enjoy life to its fullest and have comfort in their daily activities. Her qualifications include AFAA/AFPA, aerobics, personal training, and is Zumba certified. She also teaches aqua classes and cycle training.
