Shawnee Mission Medical Center (http://www.shawneemission.org)
74th Street and Grandview, (913) 676-2000
Shawnee Mission Medical Center's (SMMC) 54-acre campus includes a 383-bed hospital, a free-standing outpatient surgery, a community health education building and fitness center, as well as five office buildings and an associate child care center. They boast the largest medical staff in the metro—more than 700 physicians—including medical experts who pioneered practices now in use around the world. Their physicians and associates work collaboratively to care for nearly 20,000 inpatients and 180,000 outpatients annually.
Over more than 40 years, SMMC has earned a reputation for quality, compassionate care. Their Emergency Department is the busiest in Johnson County and first in the area to earn a Chest Pain Center accreditation. SMMC delivers more babies than any hospital in the Kansas City metro. And they have the shortest average hospital stays in the area. Whatever your health concern—from birth to surgical robotics, soccer physicals to diagnostic heart studies or fitness classes to minimally invasive surgery, Shawnee Mission Medical Center can help. |
