Rain Barrel Workshop Registration begins April 3
When you use a rain barrel, you are capturing chlorine-free water for use in your yard that would otherwise go down storm severs or into areas of your property where it is not needed. They also divert water away from your house that might otherwise leak into the foundation and potentially cause flooding. Merriam landowners have the opportunity to apply for a reimbursement grant for installing and using a rain barrel. Applications can be found on the city's website or at City Hall and must be submitted to Community Development.
