Merriam offers curbside Christmas tree recycling
The City of Merriam will conduct its annual curbside pickup to assist citizens and businesses in the disposal /recycling of Christmas trees.
There will be a one-time pickup as outlined in the schedule below. Trees are to be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on the scheduled day of pickup.
Monday, January 7, 2013 - Residents north of 75th Street and south of 67th Street; east of Switzer and west of Antioch.
Tuesday, January 8, 2013 - Residents north of 67th Street and south of Johnson Drive; east of Switzer and west of Antioch.
Wednesday, January 9, 2013 - Residents north of 67th Street and south of 54th Terrace; east of Antioch and west of Lowell.
Thursday, January 10, 2013 - Residents north of Johnson Drive and south of 53rd Street; east of Switzer and west of Antioch.
Friday, January 11, 2013 - Residents north of 53rd Street and south of 47th Street; east of Switzer and west of Antioch.
This special curbside pickup is for the recycling of Christmas trees only. Other waste, including routine trash and yard waste, will not be collected. Should snowfall occur, the alternate dates for pickup will be January 14th - 18th (based on the same day schedule as above).
